ABOUT NUMEROLOGY
It is human nature to want to know why we’re here and what our destiny is. From time immemorial we have studied our environment and looked to the skies, the stars, our religions and philosophies, and asked our authority figures for answers to these questions.
Over the centuries, men and women dedicated their lives to the understanding of life and it’s purpose. They questioned, researched, recorded and lived their theories until they were proven or dis-proven, both scientifically and to their satisfaction. Out of their perseverance, sacrifice and hard work came sciences and systems we today are benefiting from.
One of these sciences is Numerology. The Greek mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras, who discovered what is known in Geometry as the Pythagorean Theory, is credited as the father of Numerology. Pythagoras believed in the concept of numbers - that everything in the universe at it’s base level comes down to a number, and every number has it’s own characteristics. He claimed that “Numbers rule the universe.” We see this borne out today with the ever-growing use of computers, which are based on numbers.
Pythagoras and his followers lived in near seclusion and secrecy as they put their theories through extreme tests over many years. Pythagoras combined his mathematical genius with his spiritual knowing to lay a solid foundation of numerical knowledge we use to gain practical, workable and valuable insight into our lives.
How does it work? In simple terms, each letter in the alphabet has a direct connection with a particular number, and each number has a meaning. When we put together the significance of each letter in your name along with the numbers in your birth date, the information that was locked within reveals itself, and we have a blueprint, or biography of your life: past, present and future.
